This was only the third time we'd tried a choir-only piece in five years. And the girls worked hard at it. This is so much more difficult to carry off than our usual repertoire when we are the cantors and the people respond. They did really well but I was still a tad nervous about how it had sounded to the assembly and how they had received it. Needn't have worried. Before the final note of the Mass had died away, Anne, a lovely lady who sits in the third row, tugged at my sleeve. "Thank you for the Bach," she said.
Hello Nick, great idea for a blog! :-) The difference between yours and mine, of course, is that you're already in a position to write yours up to about Easter 2012. Wish I was that organised.
