Fr Fred Rose has been a great friend of ours for many years so, while we were delighted to lead the music at his Funeral Mass, it was a sad occasion. Just five years ago we looked after the music at Fr Fred's Golden Jubilee. Today we were joined by the choir of Holy Trinity Primary School who sang beautifully – there was scarcely a dry eye in the house. Fr Fred will be greatly missed. May he rest in peace.
That's a brilliant music list. Must have been a good funeral.
ReplyDeleteIt was a superb occasion although marred by a break-in the night before as Fr Fred lay in state before the altar.
