This would have been Ascension Day but the feast has now been moved back to Thursday when Mass was celebrated elsewhere. The offertory song was adapted from Handel's Lascia ch'io pianga. We used words from St John: Do not be troubled for I will be with you. I am with you always until the end of time. Positive feedback from the congregation, one of whom said, "It was beautiful. Bubblegum for the ears."
