Hail redeemer, King divine

I can't imagine the feast of Christ the King without Hail Redeemer which, having been written for the foundation of our cathedral, is as much a Liverpool anthem as You'll Never Walk Alone. We made plenty of noise today with descants on the psalm and Mass of Hope. Next week should be a stark contrast – but that's deliberate. And somehow another year is over and a new one about to begin.
