Seek ye first the kingdom of God
Glory, glory – Paul Inwood
Ps 61: In God alone – Nick Baty
Winter Alleluia – Nick Baty
In the land is a hunger – Bernadette Farrell
Latin Liturgy – Nick Baty
Like a child rests – Christopher Walker
Guide me, O thou great redeemer

There was so much more we could have sung today – including I will never forget you, my people and Though the mountains may fall – and if we'd had them in the congregation's repertoire perhaps we would have. This was one of those celebrations when I kept shifting uncomfortably in my seat wishing I could make last minute changes. But all seemed to come together in our post-communion psalm, Christopher Walker's Like a child rests in its mother's arms. Apart from the theme of trusting in God, other phrases echoed the readings in a way I hadn't properly noticed at the planning stage: "I am not proud, I do not look for things too great".
